On the Reservation

If you live on the reservation, you are basically not alive to other people. Some people do care but not a lot of people do. I think its better than being black during segregation times because native americans were welcomed to the rights of white people. But being native american is not really a great life. For example, in the book "Montana 1948", Davids grandfather thought that Frank should not have been persecuted for sexually assulting Native American women. So obviously back then they were people who were not really looked at as important. We just needed to give them space to live.
Also, if you live on the reservation you know that you are living in that particular area because all the land was taken from your people. They know that all of this land that is given to them was just something to shut them up. So basically, on the reservation just means on the thing that was given to the Native Americans to shut them up. So what im trying to say here is that living on the reservation is not exactly the best life.
And why have we been calling Native Americans Indians?
